Water Search & Rescue Team

UPDATE AS OF 19th MARCH 2026: We are working along side two nationally recognised partners, who have MOU’s in place to work with and support the main blue light emergency’s service in their time of need. At present we are aligning all our working polices and producers to deliver the highest standard to our community in the time of need.

We are putting together a search & rescue (SAR) volunteer response team, with the training that has been delivered to us, we can provide operational support to the local emergency services during times of searching for a missing or vulnerable person.

We are building and training a team who has the capability to search for vulnerable people in the Hot & Warm zones of inland waters at the request of the emergency services. This team will be trained to a minimum level of MOD 3 this is generally considered the benchmark for teams operating in swift water or flood environments, thus ensuring we can support blue light services to a technical water level. We will have the capacity from deployment time to have a team at the required location within 20 minutes. Each team that is deployed will have the following:

1 x team of Swiftwater and Flood Rescue Technician (DEFRA / Mod 3)

Water and Flood Team Leader (Team Commander)
