Technical Water Rescue (SLSGB) is proud to announce its formal integration into the Surf Life Saving GB (SLSGB) family, strengthening national water‑safety resilience and expanding volunteer rescue capability across coastal and inland environments.

This aligns our team with SLSGB’s nationally recognised training standards, governance, and operational frameworks, ensuring that our volunteer roles are delivered safely, professionally, and consistently across the UK.

Through SLSGB’s national framework, Technical Water Rescue volunteers now benefit from:
- Nationally accredited training pathways

New Specialist Teams in Development
Under SLSGB’s guidance and support, Technical Water Rescue (SLSGB) is currently training two new specialist units:
Flood Search & Rescue Unit
A team trained to national flood‑response standards, ready to support communities during severe weather, flooding, and inland water emergencies.
Beach Patrol Team
A preventative coastal‑safety team focused on public education, early intervention, and risk reduction during high‑risk conditions.
Both teams are progressing through structured SLSGB training pathways to ensure full national competency before deployment.
