We are Technical Water Rescue – IOW, a dedicated group of local volunteers committed to serving our community.
When the water rises, we rise to the challenge. We work year-round, not just during an emergency, supporting residents and businesses across the Island with crucial preventative measures and rapid response assistance. From deploying sandbags and clearing blocked drains to providing timely warnings and on-the-ground help, our mission is simple: to help our neighbours avoid flooding and minimize damage when it strikes.
We are run entirely by volunteers—your friends, family, and neighbours—united by a passion for service and a commitment to keeping the Isle of Wight safe and resilient. Our volunteers give their time and effort freely, carrying out vital preventative work, offering advice, and mobilising quickly when the threat of flooding is imminent.
